Enabling students to use vocabulary in various contexts, with untranslated and transferred meaning, with nuances in the semantic sign of lexical units, enriching vocabulary in active and passive form, acquiring skills in describing vocabulary, general and special, all through the adoption of the Croatian language and its relations according to his other idioms and linguistic styles. Introducing students to basic onomastic concepts, historical development of names, etiology of toponyms, nominal heritage as a linguistic and extralinguistic monument.

1. recognize and explain the laws in the structure of vocabulary, general and special
2. apply knowledge about the ways of lexeme formation in formation nests
3. apply adopted methods in analyzing individual discourses
4. explain the acquired knowledge about onomastics as a linguistic discipline, its significance and about the laws, time of origin, origin, types, ways of formation and meanings of onomastic types
5. take a critical approach to the processing of the onomastic corpus
6. study scientific and professional literature applying the acquired knowledge
7. discuss contemporary issues of Croatian lexicology, lexicography and onomastics
8. apply the acquired skills and knowledge
9. be able to present the results of their own field research or analysis of systematic data in a comprehensible written and oral form
