"10 words" - exhibition closing event

The exhibition titled "10 words", which was installed in the Faculty basement hall on April 4, was formally closed April 27, 2023. This exhibition, which accompanies the book A History of Ireland in 100 Words (Sharon Arbuthnot, Máira Ní Mhaonaigh and Gregory Toner), was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Ireland, and under the auspices of the Royal Irish Academy.

At a special meeting on the occasion of the closing of the exhibition, our distinguished guest, Mrs. Aisling Kearns, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland, met with associate professor Ina Reić Ercegovac, Faculty Vice Dean for Education, associate professor Antonela Marić, Faculty Vice Dean for Research and International Cooperation, and associate professor Brian Willems, from the Department of English Language and Literature.

Mrs. Kearns delivered a short lecture to students on the etymology of Irish words, in order to foster interest in Irish language.
