Description:
The objectives of the course are to acquaint students with the developmental dimensions in the context of individual thematic units from temperament, attachment and emotions to the concept of self, personality development and developmental difficulties and the application of this knowledge in education in childhood and adolescence.

Subject content
Temperament, dimensions of temperament and manifestation in the context of age
Attachment development, attachment in early childhood, adolescence, and adulthood
Legacy or environment contemporary research and theoretical approaches
The connection between attachment, temperament and emotion
Development of self-perception and personality
Self-control and initiative in upbringing and education
Cognitive styles, attribution and beliefs, connection to educational processes and decisions
Peer relationship, friendship, sociometry
Motivation for marriage and parenthood
Parenting styles and challenges of contemporary parenting
Division and determination of deviant forms of experience and behavior
Children and adolescents with disabilities in the context of upbringing and education
Learning outcomes:
  1. Determine the basic characteristics of temperament
  2. Understand and appoint the individual stages and role of the development of attachment and connection with emotional development and temperament
  3. Analyze the development of self-control and emotion
  4. Analyze the impact of the development of initiative and self-control in the process of upbringing and education
  5. Define self-perception and changes in the dimensions of self-perception in the context of age and personality development
  6. Determine the characteristics of parenting styles on developmental outcomes in children
  7. Understand the motivating factors for marriage and parenthood
  8. Understand the differences in deviant behaviors and experiences in childhood
