The main goal of the course is review of the philosophical assumptions on ecological implications of human activity in the world. The intention of the course is to introduce students to different worldviews, anthropological assumptions and values which contribute to the environmental degradation. The course introduces students to main terms used in theoretical and analytical approach to the ecological problems: political and cultural ecology, anthropocentrism, green ideas, radical ecology and possibilities for sustainable development and justice. |
