General information about the programme:

The Department of English Language and Literature was established in 2001 as one of the three main departments within the School of Humanities of the University of Split. In 2005 it became part of the newly established Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Department aims to educate professionals who will have knowledge and competencies in the fields of English language and linguistics, literature, teaching English as a Foreign Language and translation.

Upon completing the undergraduate study programme in English Language and Literature, lasting six semesters, students earn at least 180 ECTS credits (90 in this study programme) and obtain the academic title of Bachelor (Baccalaureus/Baccalaurea) of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature.

Upon completing the graduate study programme in English Studies, lasting four semesters, students earn at least 120 ECTS credits (60 in this study programme) and obtain the title of Master of Education (MEdu) in English Studies.

At both levels, the study programme is structured as a double-major study programme.
