Description:
The course introduces students to the basics of hidrogeography; properties, quantity and main characteristics of water and aspects of scientific study of water. Special attention is given to the main features of the sea and its significance in the modern global economy with emphasis on Croatia.
The course also analyzes other forms in which water appears on the surface of the Earth and underneath the surface. Special attention is given to geographic features of water in Croatia: the use of water for economic purposes, as well as biogeographical specifics of littoral and inland Croatia within the Central European and Mediterranean regions.
