Description:
Based upon a variety of integrated language contents the students are expected to consolodate and expand their language proficiency through an integration of the four basic language skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing at an advanced level, as well as to develop a competence in collecting, using, and transmitting information in a variety of contexts.
Learning outcomes:
  1. - to strengthen and improve the knowledge and abilities of the functional use of language in the semantic radius, both of the general register and of professionally oriented topics (in spoken and written language);
  2. - get acquainted with more demanding nuanced grammatical structures in the target language for the purpose of efficient and idiomatic use of language;
  3. - intensively activate and develop the range of vocabulary and idiomatic expressions;
  4. - to get acquainted with and adopt the vocabulary and phraseology related to the characteristic historical and socio-cultural aspects of British and other Anglophone cultures;
  5. - raise awareness of the integration and application of acquired language knowledge and skills in oral and written communication;
  6. - get acquainted with the characteristics of different styles, genres and language registers.
