1. to recognize and identify logical elements and structure in social sciences texts with an emphasis on sociological ones,
2. to translate sentences formulated in natural language into first-order logical language and vice versa
3. to test the validity of arguments and assess consistency within the first-order logic,
4. to construct simple first-order proofs
5. to describe the common logical elements and differences between social and natural science theories,
6. to recognize and appreciate the value of the logical research in social sciences, and, in particular, the importance of applying formal methods in sociological research
