Description:
The main goal of this course is to develop a critical sense for some basic methodological approaches within historiographical research and thus to acquire analytical and interpretative skills. The attendants of the course will be encouraged to read and discuss various authors who dealt with the subject in order to develop a critical understanding and adequate methodological approach in their own research.
Learning outcomes:
  1. Students should be able at the end of the course to:
    - understand different methods, approaches and concepts in historical research as preconditions for analysing historical processes
    - get an understanding of various forms of how to organise research in the field
    - recognize methodological approaches and concepts within historiography
    - be able to define post-modern citicism of historiography
    - apply scientific reserach methds to their own work
