Description:
- Understanding key categories in the field of sociology of entertainment.
- Developing competencies for discussing socio-psychological aspects of entertainment in the contemporary society.
- Developing competencies for discussing anthropological sources of contemporary entertainment forms.
- Encouraging interests towards the development of youth entrepreneurship in Croatia with the focus on entertainment industry.
- Understanding economic and entrepreneurial aspects of entertainment in the context of the new economy.
- Developing competencies for positioning of entertainment category in the contemporary socio-cultural context.
- Awaking the existence of gender segregated forms of entertainment in contemporary society.
- Encouraging interest and critical approach toward the study of place and role of entertainment in contemporary socio-cultural context.
Learning outcomes:
  1. Explaining the relation between general sociology and sociology of entertainment.
  2. Explaining the development of social forms of entertainment.
  3. Understanding the place and the role of entertainment in contemporary socio-cultural context.
  4. Acquiring knowledge about entrepreneurship ideas in the entertainment industry
  5. Explaining and understanding the implementation of entrepreneurial model in the field of entertainment in contemporary society.
  6. Discussing the place and the role of entertainment in contemporary society of consumption.
  7. Noticing the existence of connection between entertainment and consumerism.
  8. Describing relations between contemporary technology and new entertainment forms.
