Gaining knowledge about the main characteristics of separate periods of Italian literature (from the 18th to 21st century), gaining knowledge on formal, thematic and styistic features of the works of famous Italian authors (including an overview of different periods, artistic streams, literary spaces, modernity, geografical and historical context, postcolonial literature, crime fiction etc.)
Seminars aim to encourage discussion, form the research and critical approach to literary texts and set the basis for the analysis of literary texts of the epoch that is being studied, and provide an insight into poetic devices employed by the authors.
Throughout the course, students are being trained for their future work in the study of Italian literature.
