Understanding science, its classification and role in society. Distinguishing between different types of academic, professional and scientific papers. Use of scientific literature (from various sources) and research results during study and in future work. Developed ability for initial independent and successful preparation of scientific research work and for writing academic, professional and scientific papers in accordance with the requirements of the methodology.

1. To interpret the general concept of science and to outline its basic characteristics and classification
2. Explain the characteristics of scientific knowledge
3. Identify the types of academic, professional and scientific papers
4. To analyze the scientific research procedures and the stages of the creation of the scientific work
5. Identify the characteristics of good academic and scientific work
6. Describe the significance of bibliographic databases as sources of information and how they can be used
7. Create a list of references and create notes (through quotations and paraphrases)
8. Create the research draft
