Description:
During the semester the themes from the artistic heritage of paleochristian art, dark ages art, Merovingian, Carolingian and Ottonian art, architecture, sculpture, painting and crafts will be covered. Art of the early medieval Croatia (architecture, sculpture, painting and crafts) will be lectured, and interpreted within the European context of the time.
The attendance of these lectures will enable the students to gain knowledge of the early medieval art of Europe and Croatia, to develop a critic attitude on the subject, development of the usage of literature on the subject, and to set the basis for the further learning through the Art history study.
