Description:
Philosophical insight into the social life of man and forms of organization of society and the state from antiquity to the beginning of the new century, Comparative analysis with modern and contemporary insights into the socio-philosophical themes of ancient and medieval philosophy. Social philosophy in the disciplinary division of philosophy; social philosophy and sociology. Social ideas in ancient Greece; the classics of ancient social philosophy Plato and Aristotle. Ideas about society in Hellenism and the Middle Ages. Modern social philosophy continues to be studied within the subject of philosophy of history, which is taught in the summer semester and for which the teaching of social philosophy is attended.
Learning outcomes:
  1. explain the specificity and importance of social philosophy in the study of philosophy;
  2. explain the difference between the state and society in the context of social and political philosophy
  3. define the basic philosophical terms
  4. identify philosophical problems and solutions in the original texts
  5. critically discuss the major philosophical problems and philosophical schools
  6. identify philosophical ideas of the authors in original texts
  7. know the main authors and their major works, philosophical concepts, problems and schools
  8. critically discuss the major philosophical concepts, problems and schools
  9. connect those concepts and problems with general as well as specific philosophical concepts and problems from another periods.
