Description:
Practical application of theoretical knowledge of sociological methodology; training of students for developing skills to adequately detect, diagnose and identify the conditions, circumstances and limits of researches of society; development of the skills for individual preparation and implementation of sociological research with a focus on construction of research instrument and selection of research sample.
Learning outcomes:
  1. Define variables and indicators relevant to the subject of research
  2. Construct a questionnaire (or other measuring instrument)
  3. Distinguish between different types of scales, and construct the same (depending on the case studies and the population being researched)
  4. Develop an appropriate protocol
  5. Define researched population and its characteristics and determine the research sample
  6. Identify and anticipate possible difficulties in the field
