The aim of this course is to train students in finding an appropriate, desirable and realistic approach to teach controversial and sensitive issues in history, based on multiperspectivity, analysis of different interpretations, coping strategies and defining such topics in local, national, European and world history.

1. 1. To identify and comment on different types of challenges in learning and teaching of controversial and sensitive issues (from ignorance of factography to trivialization).
   2. To identify different approaches that can address the challenges of learning and teaching of controversial and sensitive issues.
   3. To analyze and interpret the appropriateness, value and importance of individual written, audio and visual sources in learning and teaching of controversial and sensitive issues.
