Aleksandar Jakir, Ph.D. (1966) is Professor for Croatian History and Contemporary and Modern History at the Department of History of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Split (Croatia). He earned his Ph.D. degree in 1997 at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany). He is author, co-author and editor of a number of books, articles and book chapters in his field of expertise (History of South-Eastern and Eastern Europe of the 20th century).
As a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal, he takes care of checking all submitted papers with the PlagScan system.
